Fontainebleau Forest Fires Database (3FD) version 1.0

The Fontainebleau Forest Fires Database (3FD) version 1.0 is composed of 43 historical fires in the Fontainebleau Forest each described in a table completed by a qgis layer for 24 fires. 

This database is described in Chevalier at al. 2025 (submitted)Further contributions are strongly encouraged. They can be submitted by email to [e-mail] using the template below. Refer to the variables description in the READ_ME tab when filling the template. Minimal information required for a valid contribution is date of fire, point location (latitude and longitude) and data source. Please provide the full reference of the source in your email, and if it is not easily accessible online, provide the document whenever possible. You can also submit a QGIS-compatible shape file (polygon) of the fire perimeter reconstructed as described in Chevalier at al. 2025 (submitted)Contributions will be reviewed on a yearly basis and an updated version of the database will be released accordingly. Whenever possible missing fields such as vegetation type, soil substrate and altitude will be completed by S. Abiven based on the location provided by the contributor.
