Propidium monoazide-metagenomic analysis by 16S rRNA gene based sequencing with chilled food.

The aim of this study was to assess the potential applicability of the PMA method to discriminate viable and non-viable cells with complex food matrices by using metagenomic analysis. In this context, for non-heat treated TPS (chilled test produced potato salad), and heat treated TPS were monitored the microbial taxonomic distribution with metagenomic analysis.
