Escherichia coli strains causing bovine mastitis

This project aims to research E. coli strains causing bovine mastitis. It aims specifically to study what pathogenic mechanisms of E. coli bacteria are involved in this disease, if it is possible to characterize strains of E. coli which cause bovine mastitis into a separate pathotype and if there are minimal predictors of pathogenicity in E. coli strains causing bovine mastitis which may be used to predict different possible outcomes of disease.
