Microbiota of preterm infants and full-term infants

Establishment of healthy GI microbiota at early stage of life is crucial for the maturation of immune system and metabolic modulation. However, neonatal gut microbiota is modulated by multiple clinical intervetion factors. GI microbial pattern of preterm infants with molecular techniques and how it is influenced is poorly known. We aim to investigate colonization and succession of GI microbiota in preterm infants and multiple clinical interventions (e.g., parenteral nutrition andantibiotic therapy) that may affect the pattern using molecular techniques,bioinformatical and statistical analysis.
