Data and code for: Nutrient status and light history drive contrasting photosynthesis-irradiance responses in river biofilms
收藏资源简介:
Raw dataset and complete R pipeline supporting the article "Nutrient status and light history drive contrasting photosynthesis-irradiance responses in river biofilms". Stream biofilms were grown for one month in 30 indoor artificial channels at the University of the Basque Country (EHU) experimental facility, under a fully factorial split plot design crossing two nutrient regimes (low vs. high, applied at the block level, three blocks each) with five growth irradiances (60, 134, 472, 658 and 880 umol photons m-2 s-1, applied at the channel level). After 30 days, community respiration and net community production were measured in sealed chambers, with each tile incubated at one of six incubation irradiance levels. Gross primary production was obtained as the sum of net community production and community respiration. Photosynthesis irradiance relationships were characterised by fitting and comparing linear, saturating and photoinhibitory models. The deposit contains the raw dataset (180 observations: 30 channels x 6 incubation irradiance levels), a documented data dictionary, and the R scripts that reproduce every figure, table and statistic reported in the article. Running run_all.R regenerates all outputs from the raw data. Data licensed under CC BY 4.0; code licensed under the MIT Licence. See the LICENSE file in the deposit.
