Dataset for contrasting effects of nitrogen input on carbon pools in arid and humid soils

While the effect of N input on SOC fractions is well known, its specific influence regulated by moisture regime remains unresolved, although it is critically important for predicting carbon–climate feedback. In this study, we conducted a meta-analysis to reveal the contrasting effects of nitrogen deposition on soil organic matter and its components in arid and humid regions.
