资源简介:
This dataset contains anonymized patient data from the cross-sectional study, "Prevalence and clinical correlates of peripheral artery disease in patients undergoing hemodialysis: a cross-sectional study from Palestine."
**Background**: Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a significant but underrecognized complication in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD). This study is the first to investigate the prevalence and associated risk factors for PAD in a hemodialysis cohort in Palestine, a region where such data were previously lacking.
**Methods**: The study was conducted between February and November 2023 at a tertiary teaching hospital in northern Palestine. Data were collected from 278 patients undergoing regular hemodialysis. PAD was diagnosed using the ankle-brachial index (ABI), with a value ≤0.9 indicating the presence of PAD. Demographic, clinical, and laboratory data were collected from patient interviews and medical records.
**Dataset Contents**:
This package contains two files:
1. `PAD_dataset.csv`: The anonymized raw data file.
2. `readme.txt`: A data dictionary explaining each variable and its corresponding codes.
**Key Findings from the Study**: The prevalence of PAD in this cohort was 54.0%. PAD was significantly associated with older age, longer dialysis duration, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, cardiac disease, and lower serum phosphorus levels.
This data is being shared to allow for verification of the study's findings and to facilitate future research and meta-analyses on this high-risk population.
