Digital Archive from Archaeological Works at St Edmund Hall, Norham Gardens, Oxford, May 2022 and April-July 2023

This collection comprises images, site records, reports, a spreadsheet, and GIS data from an archaeological evaluation at St Edmund Hall, Norham Gardens, Oxford and a historic building investigation and recording at No. 17 Norham Gardens, Oxford. This work was undertaken by Oxford Archaeology in May 2022 and April-July 2023 respectively. The evaluation identified several ditches apparently forming part of a rectilinear enclosure system which are likely to be Roman in date. The historic building recording work focused on the 1926 chapel, while the 1876 and 1894 extensions were dealt with more briefly.
