Experimental Data on PM-16QAM Long-Haul Transmission (after DSP)
收藏资源简介:
This data set contains received signal data collected from an experimental campaign with multi-subcarrier PM-16QAM signals transmitted over long-haul distances. The aggregate symbol-rate of each PM-16QAM signal is 24 GBaud, with 31 channels being transmitted in a 28 GHz grid. Propagation is performed over PSCF fiber spans with 108.25 km per span. Long-haul transmission is achieved by using a recirculating loop composed of 4 spans of fiber and inline EDFA-only amplification. For further details on the experimental setup, please refer to the following open-access publication:<br> https://doi.org/10.1364/OE.25.004298 <br> This data set comprises received optical signals after received-side digital signal processing for the following range of parameters:<br> 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 12 subcarriers<br> 4 to 7 recirculations;<br> -1 dBm, -0.5 dBm, 0 dBm, 0.5 dBm, 1 dBm and 2 dBm launched power;<br> 3 independent aquisitions (trials) <br> The file names of the received signals follow the convention: Srx_<nSC>SCs_<Ptx>dBm_<nRec>recs_trial<trialNum>_<string>.mat where <nSC> is the number of subcarriers, <Ptx> is the launched power, <nRec> is the number of recirculations, <trialNum> is the trial number and <string> indicates the type of signal, which can be one of the following:<br> <beforeCPE>: signal before fine tuned carrier-phase estimation (after 8x8/4x4 MIMO equalizer);<br> <afterCPE>: signal after a fine tuned (optimized window) maximum likelihood carrier-phase estimation (decision-directed);<br> <afterCPE-DA>: signal after a data-aided carrier-phase estimation that maximizes the circularity of the 16QAM points (ideal phase estimation). <br> <br> Besides these received signals, the dataset also comprises the reference transmitted signal for each number of subcarriers, following the naming convention: Stx_<nSC>SCs.mat <br> Finally, inside the sub-directory "results", a .mat file with BER results (measured after QAM demapping and comparison with the transmitted signal) for each data file is provided, following the naming convention: <nSC>SCs_<Ptx>dBm_<nRec>recs_trial<trialNum>_<stringCPE> where <stringCPE> can be one of the following:<br> <CPE-DA>: corresponding to the results obtained with a data-aided CPE (ideal phase estimation)<br> <CPE-DD>: corresponding to the results obtained with a decision-directed CPE with optimized window size<br> <br> Edit 2019/03/01: new data corresponding to the 8 SCs scenario has been added, considering different number of V&V CPE taps (201, 501, 751 and 1001).
