Two Decades of Arctic Coastal Sea Ice Phenology: A GNSS-IR Record from the Beaufort Sea (2003-2023)
收藏资源简介:
This repository provides a continuous 20-year (2003–2023) coastal sea ice phenology dataset derived from ground-based GNSS Interferometric Reflectometry (GNSS-IR) at the TUKT station in Tuktoyaktuk, Canadian Beaufort Sea. Utilizing the Amplitude Integration Factor (AIF) method to ensure long-term consistency, the dataset includes annual metrics (freeze-up, breakup, duration) and hourly time series that reveal a significant shortening of the ice season driven primarily by delayed freeze-up. This high-resolution ground-based record captures early nearshore frazil ice formation typically missed by coarse satellite sensors (detecting onset ~5.5 days earlier than IMS products), offering critical ground-truth data for regional climate model validation; please refer to the README file for detailed methodology, data validation, and file structure descriptions.
