Mytilus galloprovincialis Genome Survey

Despite of this importance in aquaculture and biological and ecological sciences, information of mussels at genomic level is scarce. In order to broaden and increase their genomic knowledge, we conducted a genome survey of the Mediterranean mussel (Mytilus galloprovincialis). Results of this genome survey will help not only to the refinement of future sequencing strategies in this organism, but also to gain insights into common and unique genomic features in the phylum Mollusca.
