LC-MS/MS Spectra for Polymer Photodegradation: PE, PP, and PA in DI, HA, and FA Matrices

This dataset comprises annotated LC-MS/MS fragmentation spectra analyzing photodegradation products of three common polymers—polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polyamide (PA, Nylon-66)—across different environmental matrices. The data include 9 processed PDF files, each corresponding to a specific polymer-matrix combination: deionized water (DI), humic acid (HA), and fulvic acid (FA). All spectra are annotated with precursor m/z values, key fragment ions, and diagnostic motifs relevant to polymer degradation pathways. This dataset provides evidence for the formation of low molecular weight organic acids (LMWOAs) and other transformation products during simulated environmental photodegradation.
