The data in this dataset is sourced from the ESACCI_SAT_MERGE _GLOBA dataset of the European Space Agency (ESA). It includes original netCDF (nc) data of chlorophyll-a concentration at 4-kilometer spatial resolution, with monthly temporal coverage from January 2000 to December 2019. After extracting the latitude and longitude data as well as the target chlorophyll-a concentration metrics stored in the nc files, the data is separately converted into chlorophyll-a concentration GeoTIFF (tif) files. The dataset covers the entire globe, with the image coordinate system set to EPSG:4326. The total volume of this dataset is 33.3 GB.
