The Register of applications for auctioneers’, hawkers’, coach and other licenses dealt with by the Bench of Magistrates records such information as: the number of the application, the date of hearing, the name of applicant, the country they are native to, the nature of the licenses applied for, the result of the application and the signature of the Magistrate.These volumes also contain memoranda of cases committed for trial, a record of cases dealt with under the “first offenders’” provisions of the Crimes Act, 1900, a list of furniture and a list of the law books held at the court house.
