DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER PROTECTION USING MICRO - CONTROLLER.

The aim of the project work is to protect the distribution transformer or any other power<br>transformer, burning due to the overload, over temperature and input high voltage. Normally most of the<br>transformers are burning because of these three reasons; hence by incorporating this type of monitoring<br>and control circuits, life of the transformer can be increased. In addition to the monitoring and control,<br>information about these three parameters can be transmitted to the nearest electrical office where the<br>maintenance staff of the electrical department can monitor the transformer continuously without going<br>nearer to the transformer. For this purpose, radio communication is utilized in this project work, so that,<br>due to what reason the transformer has been failed, at what time, when the power is resumed etc., can be<br>monitored and this information can be stored in a computer at the receiving station. With the help of this<br>kind of system, the maintenance staff of the department can have a continuous vigilance over the<br>transformer.
