Compilation of crustal and lithospheric data
收藏资源简介:
This is a compilation of crustal and lithospheric data (smoothed with Gaussian filter and 3 sigma = 180 km) used to analyse isostasy in the continents. Column 1 = degrees longitude Column 2 = degrees latitude Column 3 = elevation of Earth's surface (dry and water unloaded if negative) (m) Column 4 = crustal thickness (km) Column 5 = Lithospheric thickness (km) Column 6 = Average crustal density Elevation is from: ETOPO1 (2011). Global 1 arc‐minute ocean depth and land elevation from the US National Geophysical Data Center/NESDIS/NOAA/U.S. Department of Commerce. https://doi.org/10.5065/D69Z92Z5, smoothed with Gaussian filter, with 3 sigma = 180 km. For Crustal+Lithospheric_dataset1: locations are where there is seismic data for the whole thickness of the crust (Walter Mooney, personal communication), and crustal data, with average crustal densities calculated from densities of individual layers, taken from published data in: Mooney, W.D., Barrera-Lopez, C., Suárez, M.G. and Castelblanco, M.A., 2023. Earth crustal model 1 (ECM1): A 1 x 1 global seismic and density model. Earth-Science Reviews, 243, p.104493. For Crustal+Lithospheric_dataset2: crustal data, with average crustal densities calculated from densities of individual layers, taken from published data in: Stephenson, S.N., Hoggard, M.J., Holdt, M.C. and White, N., 2024. Continental residual topography extracted from global analysis of crustal structure. Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, 129(4), p.e2023JB026735. For both dataset1 and dataset2, lithospheric thickness, smoothed with Gaussian filter with 3 sigma = 180 km, is from published data in: Priestley, K., Ho, T., Takei, Y. and McKenzie, D., 2024. The thermal and anisotropic structure of the top 300 km of the mantle. Earth and Planetary Science Letters, 626, p.118525.
