Texas Metropolitan Planning Organizations

This statewide MPO boundary dataset is maintained by the Transportation Planning and Programming Division of TxDOT in the Data Analysis, Mapping and Reporting Branch for the purposes of classification of roadway inventory attributes, to satisfy federal and state roadway reporting requirements, and to serve as a base layer for TxDOT's cartographic products. TxDOT occasionally adjusts MPO boundaries slightly in order to reconcile inconsistencies with other key features such as roadways or county boundaries.
