Existing Bike Facilities

This data layer illustrates the existing bike facilities inside of and connecting to the Durham City Limits. Facilities in this dataset are symbolized as ‘shared streets’, ‘on street bike facilities’, and ‘shared use paths.’ ‘Shared streets’ include bike boulevards and shared lanes. ‘On street bike facilities’ include bike lanes, buffered bike lanes, protected bike lanes, and cycle tracks. ‘Shared use paths’ include all shared use paths. These facilities were constructed from a variety of source with the main source being the 2017 Bike Walk Plan referenced here: https://www.durhamnc.gov/3092/BikeWalk-Plan-2017.
