Dataset for: The impact of the Deepwater Horizon blowout on historic shipwreck-associated sediment microbiomes in the northern Gulf of Mexico

The dataset contains polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) analysis of water samples collected at Deepwater Horizon (DWH) sites. The sequencing data is publicly available at the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) under the accession number PRJNA401282 (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/bioproject/?term=PRJNA401282). The purpose of this study was to document the lasting effects of the DWH spill on shipwrecks and the surrounding environment to be used as part of an integrated microbiological, geochemical, and archaeological approach.
