Qatar North Field is the largest liquefied natural gas terminal in construction or proposal stage as of 2021, with a planned processing capacity of 48 million metric tons per year. Al Zour LNG terminal is the second largest LNG terminal and has an expected processing capacity of 33.3 million metric tons per year. Six out of ten largest LNG terminals in construction or proposal stage are located in the United States.
