Textual Corpus for "CURRENT SCENARIO AND TRENDS IN THE USE OF UNCONVENTIONAL FOOD PLANTS (UFPs) FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF HEADS OF KITCHENS AND CHEFS WORKING IN THE TOURISM CIRCUIT OF MINAS GERAIS: A STUDY USING FOCUS GROUPS"

This dataset contains the textual corpus generated for the research project "UFPs IN MINAS GERAIS GASTRONOMY: A STUDY OF RESTAURANTS IN THE CAPITAL AND HISTORIC CITIES". Dataset Overview: Nature of Data: Textual corpus derived from transcripts of focus groups conducted with chefs and cooks from commercial restaurants. Geographic Scope: Belo Horizonte (capital) and historic cities in Minas Gerais, Brazil (Tiradentes, Ouro Preto, Sabará, São João del Rei, and Brumadinho). Data Collection Date: June 2024. Format: Unified textual corpus processed for IRaMuTeQ software analysis. Methodology and Processing: Collection Method: Qualitative cross-sectional study using focus groups conducted via Google Meet. Transcription & Translation: Recordings were transcribed using YouTube’s captioning tool, manually reviewed for accuracy, and translated into English using DeepL with individual sentence review. Technical Adjustments: The corpus was unified into a single file with specific command lines (including codes for names, questions, focus groups, and locations). Compound words (e.g., ora_pro_nóbis) were joined with underscores, and negative expressions were linked to verbs to ensure correct processing by the software. Thematic Classification: The data is organized into two primary themes: “Use” (questions 1-3) and “Trends” (questions 4-6). Ethical Compliance:The research was conducted following the ethical standards of Resolution 510/2016 (National Health Council, Brazil) and approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CAAE 64298922.0.0000.5150). All participants provided informed consent. Data Usage:This corpus is suitable for Multidimensional Textual Analysis, specifically for Descending Hierarchical Classification (DHC), similarity analysis, and word frequency analysis.
