Metagenomic analysis of microbial diversity of Tuwa hot water spring

Molecular approaches used to analyze the microbial diversity allow the study of uncultivable microorganisms and contribute towards our understanding of the microbial world. In our study, total community DNA was isolated from environmental water sample by manual and kit based methods. Here, we use Ion-torrent PGM platform to sequence metagenome. Analysis of the community DNA revealed that the phyla Firmicutes and Proteobacteria were the most abundant. Moreover, unclassified sequences also found in this metagenome indicate there are possibilities of getting novel organisms.
