Draft Metagenomes of Wild and Cultivated Fragaria chiloensis Rhizospheres harboring biosynthetic clusters for stress adaptation

We present two metagenomes reconstructed from the rhizosphere of Fragaria chiloensis (Chilean strawberry), obtained by independently assembling Illumina-sequenced DNA from wild (F01RW to F07RW) and cultivated (F08RW to F10RW) plants with average range 5.10 Mb (wild) and 42.16 Mb (cultured), respectively. These metagenomes originate from root-associated soil samples and span a range of bacterial taxa relevant to stress adaptation and nitrogen fixation. Notably, the wild F. chiloensis dataset features a Frankia bin at 84.51% completeness and an N50 of 10,552 bp, while the cultivated dataset includes Nocardia and Streptacidiphilus bins with completeness values above 60%. Collectively, these assembled genomes provide insights into microbial community shifts along with key functional traits under domestication of F. chiloensis.
