This is the first report of near-complete genomes of Vesicular Stomatitis virus (VSV) serotype Indiana from the 2020 outbreak in the United States. The sequences were obtained from swabs collected from horses in Kansas in July and August. The four genomes are critical to improve our understanding of VSV outbreak dynamics in the US.
