资源简介:
S3 - Level III Research Station - New Hendersonville, TN
The Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) conducted a major field research
campaign in Nashville/Middle Tennessee area in June and July 1994 and
1995. The goal of this study was to improve scientific understanding
of the processes that control the production and distribution of ozone
in the troposphere.
During the six-week 1995 Southern Oxidants Study (SOS)
Nashville/Middle tennessee Ozone Study the Level III New
hendersonville, TN research station participated in a variety of
chemistry and meteorological monitoring and analysis activities under
the overall direction of Michael Rodgers (Gerogia Institute of
Technology). Most monitoring activities were associated with in situ
measurements collected at multiple elevations on a 30 m walk-up tower.
The New hendersonville station also served as a site for: a laboratory
for canister VOCs from the DOE Grumman G-1 (see SOS_A4),
radar/profiler/RASS measurements (see SOS_M1), EPA measurement and
analysis projects (see SOS_A5), and ozondesonde and CLASS releases
(see SOS_A1).
The study was conducted from June 19, 1995 through July 28, 1995.
The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) was the coordinator for the 1995
Southern Oxidants Study Nashville/Middle Tennessee Ozone Study. See:
