Whiteflies were removed from cucumber leaves by aspiration and placed in a clipcage on Solanum lycopersicum (cv Castlemart) (n=3) or on Capsicum annuum OP177 (ENZA) (n=3) for 72 hours after which the whiteflies were removed from the plant by aspiration and transferred to 100% acetone. As a control, whiteflies from our colony fed on C. sativus was sampled (n=3). All samples were stored at RT in 100% acetone.
