Factors that Improve Community Readiness and Adaptability in the Context of Climate Change and Disaster Resilience

Climate change can increase the risk of floods, extreme weather, and prolonged droughts, requiring comprehensive strengthening of community adaptive capacity and preparedness. Climate change impacts global food security through reduced crop yields, supply chain disruptions, reduced food quality, and pressure on water availability, all of which impact food security. This study seeks to identify key factors associated with community adaptive capacity and resilience to climate change and aims to fill the gap in the literature on strategic climate change mitigation and adaptation. The approach used is based on the concept of climate change knowledge management and the knowledge management system cycle, with exploratory factor analysis and regression analysis methods for model development. The results obtained are the existence of several new factors that can be used as indicators of success in strengthening community capacity and resilience in facing climate change now and in the future.
