English Premier League Fixture Congestion and Injury Dataset (2012–2025)

This record contains the complete processed dataset used in the study Effects of Fixture Congestion on Injury Risk in the English Premier League, 2012–2025.All data are derived entirely from publicly available sources (FBref match data and Transfermarkt injury histories). No confidential or proprietary information is used. The dataset includes: Player–day panel for English Premier League matches (2012–2025) Player–day panel including all senior competitions Cleaned Transfermarkt injury spells and event classifications Player fragility grouping (injuries per exposure + maximum spell duration) Match-proxy injury attribution (same-day and lag-1 events) Crude hazard tables (5-min and 45-min bins) GLM (logistic) predicted probabilities and odds ratios Per-minute Poisson and Negative Binomial spline predictions FFT spectral estimates of periodicity in injury incidence Model diagnostics, exposure summaries, and other derived outputs All processing scripts are available in the companion code repository (epl_congestion), which provides instructions to fully reproduce the dataset from raw FBref and Transfermarkt data. This dataset is released to support full transparency, reproducibility, and reuse by the sports science, epidemiology, and data science communities.
