the effect of Antimicrobial peptide KR32 on microbial composition

Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) is an important pathogens that cause diarrhea in human and animals especially in neonatal and suckling period. Antimicrobial peptide (AMP) KR32 was designed in our laboratory. In this study, we used Bacillus subtilis as delivery vehicle and developed a recombinant strain of Bacillus subtilis secreting biologically active KR32. And aim to validate the hypothesis that microbiota mediate ETEC-induced intestinal injury.
