MVBSL-W50 is the first large-scale Bengali Sign Language (BSL) video dataset jointly created by multiple authors. This dataset contains 4,000 high-definition sign language videos covering 50 isolated vocabulary terms, which are categorized into 13 distinct classes. The videos were recorded using three cameras with different viewing angles against a green screen to facilitate subsequent post-processing. The dataset was developed to support the application of deep learning technologies in Bengali Sign Language recognition, addressing the shortage of existing sign language datasets. It is particularly suitable for research on real-time continuous sign language recognition, providing technical support for communication between deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
