Online Marketplace is a microservices benchmark dataset created by the University of Copenhagen, which aims to address the shortcomings of existing microservice benchmarks in terms of data management challenges. This dataset covers core challenges including distributed transaction processing, data replication, consistent data, event query processing, and data integrity constraints. It includes multiple microservice modules such as Cart, Product, Stock, etc., with each module responsible for distinct business logics. During the creation process, the research team implemented four different versions of this dataset on data platforms like Microsoft Orleans and Apache Statefun, and evaluated their performance through experiments. This dataset is mainly applied to the research and development of microservice architectures, helping to solve practical problems in data-intensive microservice applications.
