资源简介:
We conducted a study to evaluate the movements and habitat use of juvenile salmonids, including Chinook salmon, in the lower Columbia River Estuary near dredge spoil deposition sites. Fish tagged with JSATS 416.7 kHz acoustic transmitters for upriver dam passage and survival studies were monitored using strategically placed hydrophones throughout the navigation channel, Woody Island Channel, and Prairie Channel. Detections were used to evaluate travel routes among channels and to calculate transit times through the study area. These data provide insights into off-channel habitat use and will inform future management and dredging operations in the estuary. The dataset includes two tables. Detection Data - Location, date, and time of tag detections as fish were detected in the river. Fish Data - Species, size, and release information for fish detected on the acoustic receivers.
