Estonian names for animal parasites

In the Estonian literature so far, the pathogens of parasitic diseases in animals have been mentioned differently. Very often, however, the Estonian name is missing and the Latin term has to be used. This Estonian-style parasitological vocabulary is the first attempt to present a glossary of terms in this field. The vocabulary has been compiled by Professor Emeritus of EEC Toivo Järvis; Enn Ernits, Anu Hindikainen and Ülle Sihver have actively participated in the creation of the vocabulary. Without a solid common vocabulary, there can be no precise thinking or understanding of each other. Estonian-style terms must be used in teaching, research and subject literature.
