The lake level data collected by Wisconsin Department of Natural
Resources. It covers 751 lakes. The time span is from 1918 to 2000. Historically, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources surveyed
lake level elevations over time in many lakes across the state. The
date and lake level were recorded on paper and filed by lake and
county. Associated materials for each lake include detailed
descriptions, maps, and survey elevations for benchmarks. The full set
of files are stored on the fourth floor of the GEF2 building in
downtown Madison.
