Mycoplasma anserisalpingitidis is a waterfowl pathogen bacteria. There are no vaccines against it and the major way of combating the pathogen is with antibiotic therapy. This could cause new less susceptible strains to develop. It is vital to understand the mechanism of antibiotic resistance.The aim of the study was to investigate the role of efflux mechanisms, through the study of mutant Mycoplasma anserisalpingitidis strains.
