青海可可西里地区的鸟类,数据来源于1990年5月-8月开展的对可可西里地区的综合科学考察,在鸟类组成中,全为古北界成分,其中青藏区的组成占很大比例,达18种之多,可可西里与整个大高原无论地质构造或自然地理条件都有着密切的关系,它的鸟类组成也反映了相关性。一方面是青藏区的成分所占比例较大;另一方面又表现在他的特殊位置而形成的局部生境极度干旱化,使得青藏区成分很难伸入它的腹地;又因高亢形成寒冷使得蒙新区的成分很难适应,无论鸟类的种类或种群数量都极低,形成青藏高原鸟类种类、分布和种群数量极为“简单的地带”,而不同于高原的其它地区,可可西里地区一直是无人涉足的地区,动物学资料极缺,数据有利于对可可西里地区的研究。
This dataset records bird species in the Hoh Xil region of Qinghai Province, with data collected from a comprehensive scientific survey conducted in the Hoh Xil area from May to August 1990. All recorded bird species belong to the Palearctic Realm, among which species of the Qinghai-Tibet Zoogeographical Region account for a large proportion, totaling up to 18 species. Hoh Xil is closely linked to the entire Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in terms of both geological structure and physical geographic conditions, and its avian community composition reflects this close correlation. On one hand, Qinghai-Tibet Zoogeographical Region species make up a significant share; on the other hand, due to its unique geographical location, local habitats have undergone extreme aridification, which hinders the dispersal of these species into the interior of Hoh Xil. Furthermore, the region's extreme elevation creates frigid climatic conditions that are poorly adaptable for species of the Mongolian-Xinjiang Zoogeographical Region. Both bird species richness and population abundances are remarkably low here, thereby forming an extremely "simple zone" in terms of bird species composition, distribution patterns and population sizes across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, which is distinctly different from other regions of the plateau. The Hoh Xil region has long been largely unvisited and understudied, with extremely scarce zoological documentation, so this dataset provides invaluable support for research on the Hoh Xil region.
