Cross-shore grain-size distribution dataset of surface sediments from coral island beaches

The dataset documents the cross-shore grain-size distribution characteristics of surface sediments collected from the southern beach (S1–14) and the northern beach (N1–16) of North Island in the Xisha Islands, South China Sea. It includes probability and cumulative grain-size distributions corresponding to different sampling-site identifiers, as well as percentile grain sizes, including D10, D50, and D90. It is associated with the study entitled “Cross-shore grain-size distribution and sediment transport on different beaches of a coral island in the South China Sea” and can be used for result reproduction, figure validation, and subsequent integrated analyses.
