Precipitation dataset for the operational evaluation of WRF-PV v1 – Porto Velho/Legal Amazon (2025)

Dataset Description The WRF-PV-v1-2025 dataset provides high-resolution (3 km) atmospheric outputs from the WRF v4.5.2 model, covering the Porto Velho region and southern Amazonas. The simulation features explicitly resolved convection and was driven by ICON model boundary conditions for the period between June and October 2025. Dataset Contents CSV Files: Time series of simulated precipitation. Extraction Points: Data extracted using the "nearest grid point" approach based on the coordinates of 9 monitoring stations (CEMADEN, INMET, and CENSIPAM networks). Note: Contains simulated data only; original observational data are not included. Purpose To ensure scientific transparency and reproducibility of the WRF-PV-v1-2025 experiment, enabling researchers to validate model performance against independently obtained observational data.
