资源简介:
Public hospitals and other health institutions were required to maintain a Register of Surgical Operations. (1) This series contains registers of operations carried out at Bankstown Hospital. The information recorded in these registers varies slightly over time, but typically includes the following: date of the operation; designated theatre; serial number; patient name, age and medical record number; ward; anaesthetic; anaesthetist; theatre sister in attendance; nature of the surgical procedure; total time; surgeon's name; assistants present, and remarks. The final volume appears to relate only to the accident and emergency wards. It is ruled-off on 27 September 1996 with the words "New Hospital". Bankstown-Lidcombe's new hospital, which consolidated services at Bankstown, became operational in October 1996. (2)Endnote1. As at November 2016, the applicable Policy Directive mandating Registers of Surgical Operations was PD2014-049 of 17 December 2014.
