Data for: Orthographic Awareness and Character Reading in Chinese Kindergartners

This dataset contains the data supporting the findings of the manuscript "The Pathway from Orthographic Awareness to Character Reading in Chinese Kindergarten Children: The Dual Mediating Roles of Visual-Motor Integration and Rapid Automatized Naming," submitted to Infant and Child Development. The dataset includes behavioral measures from 125 Chinese kindergarten children (aged 4-6 years), comprising:- Demographic information (age, gender, grade level)- Orthographic awareness (pseudo-character discrimination task)- Visual-motor integration (Korean word copying and complex Chinese character copying)- Rapid automatized naming (digit naming and object naming)- Chinese character reading accuracy- Nonverbal reasoning (Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices) All identifying information has been removed to protect participant confidentiality.
