Earthquake Catalogue and Rayleigh-Wave Group- and Shear-Wave Velocity Models for the Pamir–Afghanistan–Makran Region
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the principal data products supporting the manuscript “Crustal Structure Across the Pamir–Afghanistan–Makran Region Using Earthquake and Inter-Event Interferometry.” The archived files include: An earthquake catalogue containing origin times, epicentral coordinates, focal depths, magnitudes, and reported location and magnitude uncertainties. Period-dependent Rayleigh-wave group-velocity grids. Horizontal shear-wave velocity (Vs) grids at different depths, forming the quasi-3-D crustal model. Vs grids for the four vertical profiles presented in Figure 6 of the manuscript. The velocity models were derived by combining conventional regional earthquake–station Rayleigh-wave measurements with empirical Green’s functions obtained through earthquake inter-event interferometry. Group-velocity measurements cover periods of 1.5–55 s, and the quasi-3-D Vs model extends to approximately 55 km depth. The velocity files are provided as GMT-compatible NetCDF grids. Velocities are expressed in km s⁻¹, horizontal coordinates use geographic longitude and latitude, and depth is positive downward. The effective lateral resolution is approximately 1.5° (~150 km) within the well-sampled model interior and decreases toward the model boundaries and at longer periods. Raw seismic waveforms and custom processing scripts are not included. Original waveform data remain available from their respective data providers, subject to the providers’ access and redistribution conditions.
