"Current research generally holds that geographical distance between cities, disparities in economic development, and differences in technological capabilities are key factors influencing regional collaborative innovation.systematic research on the underlying mechanisms influencing the GBA\u2019s biomedical collaborative innovation network remains insufficient. Compared to typical urban clusters, the GBA possesses a unique institutional environment\u2014encompassing three distinct customs territories: Mainland China, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Macao Special Administrative Region\u2014each with significant differences in legal systems, regulatory frameworks, and scientific research management systems. we investigate the effects of economic distance, geographical distance, technology distance, the number of universities, and institutional distance using the Quasi-Allocation Procedure (QAP) method, as well as technical separation across cities on the GBA's biomedical collaborative research network."
