Fungal metagenome from soils at The Wilds

Forests are an important ecosystem, but their biotic composition is often the consequence of age related to land use history. We examined soil fungi in forests of central Ohio with varying time since mine land reclamation. Illumina Mi-Seq was used to assess soil fungal communities to assess whether time since mining affected fungal community structure or the relative abundance of different fungal guilds.
