Here, we report the draft genome sequences of two Streptomyces sp. strains JV180 and SP18CM02. Strain JV180 was isolated from Connecticut (USA) garden soil sample whereas strain SP18CM02 was isolated from a Missouri (USA) field soil sample. While these organisms were isolated from geographically disparate sources, they possess many similarities such as their biosynthetic gene clusters. Phylogenetically, both strains are closely related and belong to the Streptomyces griseus clade.
