Digital Archive from Archaeological Works at Brays Lane, Rochford, Essex, April-November 2012

This collection comprises images, texts, and spreadsheets from a trial trenching evaluation and open area excavations on land south of Brays Lane, Rochford, Essex. This work was undertaken by the Essex County Council Field Archaeology Unit between April and November 2012. Initial trial trenching evaluation established the presence of significant archaeological remains of Roman date. Subsequent investigation of two open excavation areas exposed a complex of ditches, pits, and other Roman period features spanning a mid 1st to late 4th century date range.
