Codebase OverviewThis dataset accompanies the research presented in the paper titled "Emergence of Decadal Linkage between Western Australian Coast and Western–central Tropical Pacific." The related data of some pacemaker experiments (CESM1 Pacific pacemaker experiment,FGOALS-f3 Pacific pacemaker experiment, and Indian Ocean pacemaker experiment) are putting in the directory "data_availability". The other is the directory "code". In the code, each NCAR Command Language (NCL) file within this dataset is prefixed with a label indicating the corresponding figure from the paper it relates to. This is followed by a description detailing the specific function of each NCL program, aiding in replicability and understanding of the computational analysis. System RequirementsAll code is developed in NCAR Command Language (NCL). For optimal performance, it is recommended to utilize NCL version 6.0 or higher. Installation GuideNCL can be installed from the following link: https://www.ncl.ucar.edu/. Demonstration The ERSSTv5 dataset is used to demonstrate the functionality of the code. Users can download this and other datasets either from the public websites listed or directly from the corresponding author. The code is structured into three main parts: data preprocessing, result calculation, and plotting. Detailed descriptions accompany each code file to clarify the purpose and methodology, such as wavelet analysis, regression, or time series analysis. Expected PerformanceUnder typical conditions, where calculations do not involve the effective degrees of freedom, runtime is usually under three minutes.
