Images and Site Records from a Geoarchaeological Assessment and Evaluation at Newmarket Lane, Metherley 2019 - 2022

This collection comprises images and site records from a geoarchaeological assessment of a proposed development south of the M62 and north of Newmarket Lane, Methley, West Yorkshire. Work was commissioned by The Environment Partnership and undertaken by Oxford Archaeology North between September 2019 and June 2022. Archaeological remains were identified in 22 of the 75 trenches. The archaeological remains corresponded well with the geophysical survey results and were suggestive of a possible enclosure.
