Cell-type transcriptomes for the choanoflagellate Salpingoeca rosetta

Transcriptome profiles of four cell types from the choanoflagellate Salpingoeca rosetta : Slow Swimmers, Rosettes, Fast Swimmers, and Thecate Slow Swimmer, Rosette, and Thecate cell type were grown to mid-log phase at 22°C before harvesting mRNA. Rosettes were induced from slow swimmers with outer membrane vesicles from the bacterium Algoriphagus machipongonensis. Fast swimmers were derived from Slow Swimmers by growing to stationary phase and heat shocking at 37°C for 2.75 h.
