Effect of dietary zinc on the microbiome of the gestating cow and neonatal calf. cow

This project was a randomized controlled feeding trial where gestating cows were randomized to receive standard diets and high-level zinc supplemented diets at dry-off (from approximately 6 weeks prior to calving until calving). The impact of the dietary zinc on the cow microbiome and neonatal calf was assessed.
