BirT - 12S metabarcoding of water samples to detect bird eDNA

This data-set was part of project in which we developed taxon-specific primers for 12S environmental DNA metabarcoding of birds. The primers were tested with filtered water samples, from which bird eDNA was amplified with a 2-step PCR approach using fusion primers. This data-set contains demultiplexed reads generated on two lanes of a NovaSeq SP flowcell with the 500 cycle kit from these samples.
